LEADERS & LEARNERS FOR LIFE!

principal meg thomas

Greetings,

We are delighted to welcome you to River's Edge Montessori. As the Principal, I, Kristan Northcutt, am truly passionate about our unique learning environment and the incredible community we have built here.  The Montessori method of teaching & learning is research- based with a focus on stages of development. Montessori has been present for over 100 years which is highly effective and respected worldwide.

At River's Edge Montessori, we offer an authentic Montessori public program for children aged 3-12. Our mission is to create a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can thrive and grow. We believe in the power of Montessori education to inspire a lifelong love of learning and foster independent, creative thinkers.

Dr. Maria Montessori once said, "The greatest sign of success for a teacher... is to be able to say, 'The children are now working as if I did not exist.'" This quote perfectly captures our approach – we aim to guide our scholars toward independence, allowing them to explore their interests and develop their unique abilities.

Another inspiring quote by Dr. Maria Montessori is, "Free the child's potential, and you will transform him into the world." This beautifully reflects our dedication to unlocking each child's potential and empowering them to make a meaningful impact on the world.

At River's Edge Montessori, our scholars are not just students; they are leaders and learners. We believe that every scholar has the potential to lead with confidence and curiosity while continually learning and growing.

We invite you to explore our website to learn more about our program, philosophy, and the vibrant community at River's Edge Montessori. Together, we can create a nurturing environment that supports the growth and development of every child.

Warm regards,

Kristan Northcutt, Principal
