State Mandated Closure

catapultNews

Today, March 12, 2020, the Governor announced a state mandated 3-week closure for all schools because of the Coronavirus. Tomorrow will be the last day of school for all Dayton Public Schools students.

Beginning next week, Monday, March 16th, the district will offer grade level or subject area lessons on YouTube and all other social media in all tested areas. A schedule will be posted and more information will be shared soon.

Students will have a break the week of March 23rd through March 27th for their regularly-scheduled Spring Break.

There will be more online lessons on Monday, March 30th through Friday, April 3rd. It is important that students participate in these online lessons to ensure that there is no gap in instruction.

In 3 weeks, the Governor will reassess the situation, but plan to return to school on Monday, April 6th. We will keep you informed throughout this state mandated closure.

As additional details about support from schools becomes available, we will share it immediately. For updated information, please visit DaytonPublic.com.
