                                      High School Water Career Conference encourages water industry careers
 
WHO:  City of Dayton Water Department

             Bonnie Porter, DPS Instructional Support Specialist
             Ted Oldiges, DPS Instructional Support Specialist
             Dayton Public Schools students and staff members
    
WHAT: The Dayton Water Department hosts the third annual water conference to encourage students to select careers in the water industry. Attendees will receive information about which jobs are available and what they entail. The event helps sustain the workforce in the industry while offering career information that students might not consider otherwise. 

WHEN:  Tuesday, May 2, 2017
                10 a.m.-2 p.m.
     
WHERE:  University of Dayton Arena
                  1801 S. Edwin C. Moses Blvd.

INFO:  Students from Dayton Public Schools, Dayton Early College Academy, Trotwood, Northridge, and Jefferson Twp. will attend. There will be various informational sessions about the industry, hands-on activities, exhibits, industry vendors, giveaways, and door prizes. Colleges and universities will also be on hand to meet with students.
