DPS students to receive two meals a day, grade-level lessons online

Due to the state-mandated three-week school closure, Dayton Public Schools students will not be in session between Monday, March 16th through Friday, April 3rd.

During this time, lessons for each grade level will be available online at DPSOnlineLearning.com (Live on Monday March 16). Many schools have also sent students home with work packets.

There will not be lessons during the regularly-scheduled Spring Break week, which is Monday, March 23rd through Friday, March 27th. The district will continue to provide breakfast and lunch to students Monday-Friday, between 9 a.m. and noon, during each week of the closure. Food will also be available during Spring
Break.

Food will be distributed at:

• Rosa Parks Early Learning Center
• Kiser Elementary
• Ruskin Elementary
• Westwood Elementary
• Louise Troy Elementary
• Edwin Joel Brown Middle School
• Wright Brothers Middle School
• Belmont High School.

DPS families that do not have transportation and are unable to get to the distribution sites may
visit DaytonPublic.com to fill out a delivery request form. A DPS employee will then deliver
meals to those who need them.

Those in Dayton who wish to volunteer with food distribution may email DPSSupt@DaytonPublic.com. Volunteers must be between the ages of 18 and 50 with no health risks and may not be living with anyone who may be at a higher risk for the virus. All volunteers must sign a waiver.
