INFO:
In the United States, National Bike to School Day is expected to have more than 5,000 participants across all 50 states. This event aims to create safer routes for walking and bicycling to school, while recognizing the importance of issues such as physical activity among children, pedestrian safety, traffic congestion, and heightened awareness for the environment.

Edison PreK-6 School, Kemp PreK-6 School and Belle Haven PreK-6 School will be hosting this year’s celebrations. Special guests will surprise students at these events, including City of Dayton Police and Fire personnel, Dayton Children’s Hospital, and Dayton Board of Education members. Huffy Corporation has teamed up with organizers to raffle off bicycles at the events.

This event is being hosted by Audrey M. Logan, the DPS Safe Routes to School Coordinator.
