College Signing Day for hundreds of DPS graduates

                                                          Seniors will graduate college- and-career ready
 
WHO: Superintendent Rhonda A. Corr, Ed.S.
            Markay L. Winston, Ph.D., Chief Academic Officer
            Sinclair Community College President Steven Johnson
            Dayton Board of Education
            Graduating seniors at Dayton Public Schools
                
WHAT:  Approximately 300 young men and women will make a commitment to college and other post-secondary careers. Each graduate will sign a ceremonial banner as they take the next step in their education. The signing is sure to be an emotional and exciting day for both students and staff. 

WHEN: Monday, May 1, 2017
               9:15 a.m. — Welcoming remarks from Superintendent Corr and President Johnson
               9:45 a.m. – Informational breakout sessions 
               11:30 a.m. — Lunch break
               12:00 p.m. to 1 p.m. — Signing ceremony 

WHERE: Sinclair Community College
                 Building 12 — Great Hall

INFO:  College Signing Day is a collaborative effort with Sinclair Community College. Students from Belmont, Dunbar, Meadowdale, Stivers, Thurgood Marshall, and Ponitz  will attend. This is the third year for the event. For more information, contact Markay L. Winston, Ph.D., at 542-3231.
