Challenger Center to present Dayton Public Schools teacher with national June Scobee Rodgers Innovative Educator Award

WHAT: 
 
The National Challenger Center, based in Washington, D.C., will present Christine Irby, a Special Education teacher at Westwood PreK-6 School with the June Scobee Rodgers Innovative Educator Award. The Challenger Learning Center of Dayton, which is one of more than 40 centers worldwide, nominated Ms. Irby for her ability to incorporate innovative ideas and concepts into her classroom and give her students an exceptional experience. The award, named in honor of Challenger Center Founding Chair June Scobee Rodgers, recognizes outstanding educators who value the importance of STEM education and demonstrate great enthusiasm in teaching STEM subjects. Only one June Scobee Rodgers Award is given out annually. Challenger Learning Centers around the world nominate educators from their communities.
