DPS Vals and Sals Honored at Dragons Game

Seven Dayton Public Schools Valedictorians and Salutatorians were honored at a Dayton Dragons Game on Thursday, May 30. The students walked onto the field with Chief of Secondary Schools Erin Dooley and Superintendent Elizabeth Lolli.

The students include: Brittney Ashley (Belmont High School Salutatorian), Kierre Dewberry (Thurgood Marshall STEM High School Co-Salutatorian), Marie Gangloff (Stivers School for the Arts Salutatorian), Ayyoub Muhammed (Thurgood Marshall STEM HIgh School Co-Salutatorian), Christopher Pacleb (Stivers School for the Arts Valedictorian), Xodus Thompson (Thurgood Marshall STEM High School Valedictorian) and Sabana Vanegas (Belmont High School Valedictorian).

College and Career Signing Day Celebrates Seniors

Two Dayton Public Schools students sign a banner at the annual College and Career Signing Day held in May. At this event, students announce their chosen career path or which college they will be attending. Approximately 315 DPS seniors attended. 

 

Superintendent Elizabeth Lolli addresses the audience at the Thurgood Marshall STEM High School graduation on May 20, 2019. The Thurgood Class of 2019 earned 190 college credits before graduating and more than $2 million in scholarships.
